Volunteers at First Lutheran Church in Lincoln engaged in mission by helping to build devices for those without mobility.

On March 20, First Lutheran held a Personal Energy Transportation (PET) Build. Participants assembled wooden pieces needed to construct 12 personal energy transportation devices. These devices will be sent to Third World countries.

The devices are hand-cranked, sturdy carts that are used by people who do not have use of their lower limbs due to land mines, injury or birth defects.

The project at First Lutheran was done in conjunction with PET, a faith-based, worldwide organization that serves as a ministry for those in greatest need of mobility, specifically serving those in impoverished areas of the world.
